SEBI has, vide its Circular No. SEBI/HO/OIAE/OIAE_IAD-1/P/CIR/2023/131 dated July 31, 2023 (as amended), extended the scope of existing dispute resolution mechanism to Investors and Listed Companies/Specified Intermediaries/Regulated Entities under the aegis of Stock Exchanges and Depositories by establishing a common Online Dispute Resolution Portal (“ODR Portal”) which harnesses online conciliation and online arbitration for resolution of disputes arising in the Indian Securities Market. Investors shall first take up their grievance directly with the Company/RTA. If the grievance is not redressed satisfactorily, the investors may, in accordance with the SCORES guidelines, escalate the same through the SCORES Portal. Investors are advised to initiate the dispute resolution process through the ODR Portal only after exhausting all the options available for resolution of Investors’ grievances and if such grievance is not redressed satisfactorily.
